We are seeking an Oracle Projects Analyst in our Los Angeles, California office. This individual will be part of the local Projects Functional team and its efforts involving the roll out of standardized Oracle Projects modules to our operating companies, both domestic and abroad.
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting with the rollout and support of US Oracle 11.5.10 Projects module including Costing and Billing with multi-org and multi-currency enabled. This includes but is not limited to: needs analysis, documentation, design, process improvement, configuration, conversion, data cleanup, systems testing, training, resolving critical issues, regression testing, functional/configuration changes associated with change/enhancement requests, report development and support. Experience implementing multiple business groups requiring foreign country localizations is required.
Primary Responsibilities:
Gather requirements and prepare documentation for Oracle applications implementation for US and multinational operations.
Work with functional department and other module owners (Finance and HRMS) to design and implement new business processes.
Configure Oracle Projects and Oracle Project Management as needed.
Work with other members of IT to define and test system security parameters including: responsibilities, request sets, and system access.
Plan and conduct regression tests, user acceptance tests, and converted data validations.
Participate in conversion and data cleanup activities in conjunction with functional team.
Coordinate testing of system and business processes.
Work with the team to resolve critical issues.
Identify, document, and resolve Oracle functionality issues.
Track and expedite Oracle TARS (Technical Assistance Requests).
Assist with the planning and testing of updates and patches.
Implement functional/configuration changes associated with change/enhancement requests according to governance process.
Provide support to other members of IT for the resolution of day to day production issues.
Perform global support and operational activities as required
Develop and maintain training materials and job aides.
Train, instruct, and educate end users.
Develop and maintain functional specifications for custom reports and processes utilizing Oracle Discoverer.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Participation in at least four full Oracle implementations supporting the Project Costing, Billing modules. AR module, international implementations and SQL knowledge a plus.
Strong Discoverer Experience/Knowledge a plus
Three or more years of functional Projects experience in a professional services environment preferred.
Good understanding of Oracle support processes and resources.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience communicating to executives.
Demonstrated strong teamwork skills
Strong customer service skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Finance, Accounting or related degree
