Oracle Data Base Administrator

We are looking for an experienced Oracle DBA/Linux Administrator to join our team.
Principle Duties:
•Oracle/Linux administration of both development and high-availability production systems.
•Assist in the ongoing architecture of a scalable, reliable, high performance production systems/web sites.
•Develop and maintain disaster recovery preparedness.
•Develop and maintain system security policies and procedures.
•Provide input and support to team of developers.
•Develop documented information such as procedural policies and configuration records.
•Take part in a rotating 7x24 on-call support.
Required Skills:
•Five + years Oracle DBA experience in an Linux environment; preferably with at least 2 years on Linux in a production environment
•Proficiency in the installation, configuration, maintenance and tuning of Oracle (9i or 10g) RAC database servers is a must.
•Experience with setup and administration of standby databases and developing comprehensive Rman backup/recovery procedures and Oracle Streams is a must.
•Experience in the design and implementation of high availability, scalable systems
•Experience monitoring and tuning processes, memory and storage (EMC preferred) with an emphasis on database optimization.
•Proficiency with Linux system administration; including system installation and configuration, executing upgrades and kernel tuning.
•A solid understanding of networked/distributed computing environment concepts; understanding of web programming, routing, and load balancing principles.
•Ability to write scripts in some administrative language (for example, Perl, shell)
•Proficiency writing PL/SQL, SQL programming
•Strong inter-personal and communication skills; capable of writing purchase justifications, training users in complex topics, making presentations to an internal audience and interacting positively with upper management.
•Independent problem solving; self-direction.
•Oracle partitioning 10.g Grid Control Oracle AS 10g and BI Discoverer
Desirable:
•A degree in computer science or a related field.
•Oracle, Redhat Certifications
•Experience with web and application server administration
