Description:

Under limited supervision, responsible for planning, managing, leading and executing technical activities related to the implementation and production support of the systems used by Contract Operations (Imany CARS IS, Medicaid and GP). Interfaces with business users and functional analysts to identify and document the Company's business requirements and ensures realization through the development of value added enhancements while conforming to the system development life cycle.

  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.
  • Participates in strategic customer meetings to review and evaluate new technical challenges.
  • Evaluates requirements and provides custom solutions to support operational and business critical and reporting processes.
  • Evaluates system impact in consultation with Business Partners, IT Affiliates and various other associated teams.
  • Partners with functional business system analyst and IT management to identify necessary department resources to meet defined objectives.
  • Develops detailed functional and design specifications, technical process models and supporting documentation for projects and enhancements.
  • Participates in the development and testing of the custom solutions, business changes/additions to Contract Operations systems and provides post-implementation support as directed.
  • Designs and develops test plans (e.g. test objectives, test cases, test data, test scripts) for executing unit.
  • Performs required documentation according to corporate standards.
  • Maintains and provides technical expertise and supporting documentation in order to facilitate knowledge transfer as necessary.
  • Acts as an internal resource for consultation to other department members in order to provide expertise and possible solutions.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Complies with company policies, practices and procedures, including safety rules and regulation.

    Qualifications:

  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years IT experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Solid SQL and/or PL/SQL experience.
  • Experience implementing and/or supporting ERP business systems (Preferably SAP R/3).
  • Experience in writing UNIX Korn shell scripts and schedule interface jobs.
  • Knowledge of Crystal Reporting Development
  • Understanding of methods of data exchange with SAP, BW and other third party software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience interacting with all levels of management.
  • Handling multiple duties and assignments.
  • Experience in problem analysis, alternative solution identification, and recommendation presentation.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and business process development skills.
  • Experience with testing methodologies, processes and tools for testing of functionality, including unit, integration, system and regression testing.
  • Utilizing project management tools and techniques to plan and ensure the progress and ultimate completion of designated projects; effectively manage time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently.

    Also requires knowledge of or skills in:

  • Exposure to Citrix Server Technologies is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Business Objects or Business Intelligence is a plus.
  • Experience in JAVA, Web Development and J2EE is a plus.
  • Exposure to SOA and Web Services is a plus.
  • Researching, evaluating and analyzing business requirements and new computer system methods, applications, procedures and techniques.
  • Cost estimation of a project to design, develop, test and deploy the required solution.
  • Knowledge of key directional trends and emerging technologies in the IT industry.
  • Knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), GXP and other regulatory requirements is a plus.
  • Working knowledge (through understanding of) CARS-IS, Medicaid, and/or Government Pricing, chargeback's, rebates and Medicaid Claims processes is a plus.
