Client is in the process of developing a new information infrastructure to integrate multiple data sources into a single repository (Operational Data Store) and for limited reporting. The architect will bring vision to build a stable and scalable environment to support the business needs while adhering to established government standards and protocols. The seasoned architect will bring experience from a variety of lines of business (finance and banking preferred) and consulting is a plus. This position is not a DBA, data modeler, capacity planner or business analyst but is a combination of all of these positions. This position will be expected to size the databases (Production, Contingency, QA, Development) to support the individual functions and recommend the according hardware, software and storage devices to maximize utility at the best available cost.
Requirements:
10+ years of IT experience
6+ years database experience
4+ years Oracle experience
4+ years Datastage experience
