JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Work closely with functional end users and develop team to support implemented Oracle Applications, Development Tools, and 3rd party solutions.
· Work with Systems DBA and infrastructure team to coordinate upgrades, patches and resolve any cross functional issues.
· Supports the development team for functional enhancements, trouble shooting and resolution.
· Assists the Test and Infrastructure team to resolve any cross functional issues.
· Develop RICE and applications Functional testing plans, in coordination with the development team and end users.
· Develop 3rd test plans for 3rd party s/w integration and s/w tools, in coordination with the development team and end users.
· Plans and coordinates application/tools changes, installation of upgrades, patches and new versions, interacting with Systems DBA and Infrastructure teams.
· Provide on-call support.
QUALIFICATIONS/WORK EXPERIENCE:
· Oracle Applications 11i, 11.59/11.5.10 preferable (Implementations, Upgrades, Architecture, Performance Tuning). Must have exposure to supporting an implementation of Oracle Applications 11i through GO-LIVE and production support.
· Exposure to 11i modules, (AD) Application Developer, (APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling, MRP, Concurrent Manager, Work Flow, Discoverer.
· Must have Oracle 9i application server exposure (Forms/Reporting/Apache Web servers -configuring and tuning).
Expert in Oracle Applications 11i technical architecture.
· Expert in Applications performance tuning and trouble shooting.
· Strong Oracle forms/reports/patching skills.
· Strong Oracle applications 11i application knowledge from a functional perspective.
· Should have experience supporting RICE (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, and Extensions) development team. Works with RICE team to determine system data management requirements, implements supporting databases and monitors performance.
· Should be an expert on all the typical Oracle Apps DBA related functions -performance tuning is a MUST -previous experience in a 24x7 HA environment a must.
· Minimum requirements are Oracle 11.5.8/9iAS with productions level experience in a scalable and fault tolerant environment (HA and DR).
· Oracle Certification a plus.
· Experience with 3rd party printing solution -Optio
· Experience with 3rd party tax software product (i.e. VerTex) a plus.
· Experience with 3rd party s/w tools -Toad, ClearCase, Kintana, Athanor
· Should have understanding of Java, Oracle application Framework, and J2EE framework.
· Should have Multi-node implementation experience; applying patches, cloning, trouble-shooting concurrent managers, and trouble-shooting forms/reports issues, configuring load-balancing.
· Should possess ability to identify and resolve performance issues with Oracle Applications technology stack.
· Team player who has customer focus and brings expertise to the team.
· Ability to initiate a project and follow it through to conclusion.
· Strong Analytical and troubleshooting skills.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast paced implementation environment.
· Excellent communication skills.
EDUCATION/SPECIAL TRAINING:
BS degree in Computer Science; or four to seven years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Oracle Certified Professional -DBA, Applications
