| Job description: |
* Technical lead resource responsible for driving improvements in the Oracle ERP applications supporting the GE Consumer & Industrial business.
* Recommend, research, plan, implement and document architecture solutions for the Oracle ERP Suite environment in order to support business objectives.
* Recommend, research, plan, implement and document procedures for applying patches, upgrades, and installations of Oracle E-Business Suite modules as well as the Oracle Applications Technology Stack.
* Support production, development, and test Oracle ERP Suite Instances.
* Performance tune, monitor, and troubleshoot all components of the Oracle ERP Suite architecture as well as UNIX servers.
* Define and communicate the architecture roadmap for the Oracle enterprise.
* Lead and take ownership of the technical portion of larger projects.
* Assist in writing technical specifications based on business requirements; design and develop key processes for architecture and infrastructure maintenance.
* Deliver on challenging system performance targets; identify and resolve performance bottlenecks within the system platform.
* Perform capacity planning to accommodate planned system growth.
* Conduct Technical reviews of all new projects and enhancements to existing installed base.
* Communicate status to project lead and/or delivery manager on a regular basis.
* May perform the role of a project lead when needed.
* Act as mentor to others. Provide assistance during the coding process. Perform QA on other developers' code.
* Enforce coding, testing, and implementation standards.
* Research and evaluate alternative solutions, and recommend the most efficient and cost effective solution for the systems/program design.
* Analyze existing systems, identify areas for improvement, recommend technically sound solutions.
* Evaluate and stay current with new technologies and suggest areas within the current system where new technology can be implemented.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
* Minimum of three or more years of Oracle application implementation experience with large ERP implementations (Finance, Sourcing in particular).
* Minimum of three or more years of Oracle system administrator experience; familiarity managing concurrent managers, workflows and application components.
* Support of an Oracle 11i (11.5.10.x) with Oracle RDBMS 9/10g instance.
* Experience developing and implementing point release upgrades for the Oracle ERP Suite and Oracle Technology Stack.
* Experience developing and implementing backup and recovery procedures for Oracle ERP instances.
* Experience developing and implementing cloning procedures for the Oracle ERP Suite.
* Strong understanding of Oracle 11i Architecture on UNIX, Application Servers, and DB Servers.
* Strong Oracle platform analysis and solution experience (application monitoring, Oracle logs analysis, end-to-end troubleshooting, etc.)
* Strong understanding of Oracle 11i configuration, primarily supporting performance, database extensions (tables and columns), and custom foreign keys and indexes.
* Experience in performance/scalability analysis of application through all tiers.
* Proven record of performance tuning all aspects of an enterprise solution (business process, UI, Oracle application, scripting, database, SQL, network, servers, desktop, etc).
* Expertise in one or more technical areas.
* Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and apply them quickly.
