Oracle Systems Administrator
Overall Goal
Administer the Company’s application software, In-house data base applications and reports.
Job Summary
This position will provide Oracle software systems application administration, maintain spreadsheet and data base systems, and assist finance/accounting department in creating custom programming reports and resolving application problems and issues company wide.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
•Administer Oracle E-Business Suite Applications;
•Work with Oracle On-Demand;
•Oversee and conduct testing of all patches, upgrades and implementations;
•Design and program custom reports;
•Conduct all business practices with integrity, honesty and leadership;
•Excellent organizational skills necessary to maintain project schedules and time lines;
•Oracle Discover skills: both administration and user reporting;
•Design, program and maintain MS Access 2003 in-house applications (Visual Basic code).
Qualifications
•Minimum of five years experience as a Software Systems Administrator and a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or an equivalent combination of experience and university course work;
•Experience in Oracle Systems administration including Discoverer Skills;
•Experience with accounting and finance principles and concepts;
•Excellent interpersonal skills;
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
•Software Systems Administration;
•Proficiency in MS Excel & Access;
•Accounting and finance principles;
•Installing software applications;
•Ability to work in a team setting by helping foster a productive work environment;
•Must be able to communicate effectively and make presentations in public and group settings;
•Work with all departments to resolve any application problems and or issues;
•Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
