Login Consulting is a search consultant for the IT industry working with a variety of clients including Northrop Grumman, Pratt Whitney, JD Powers, Universal Studios, Earthlink, Yahoo!, Toyota, Nissan, Southern California Edison, DirecTV, Amgen, Wellpoint among others. Our positions include contract, contract-to-hire and permanent placement. We offer corp-to-corp and some clients accept H1visas and greencard holders.

SENIOR ORACLE DBA

Term: 6+ month contract
Location: Burbank, CA (additional positions available in their Santa Monica, CA and Carlsbad, CA offices)
Description: This internet company is seeking a Senior Oracle DBA with over 5 years of DBA experience, with at least 3 years on Oracle 9i or higher. Candidate should also have strong unix/linux scripting skills (perl, shell, etc). Candidate should have very strong core DBA skills in the area of oracle grid control (enterprise manager), oracle database performance tuning, oracle backup and recover procedures (oracle dataguard).
Knowledge of the following areas is required:
- Solid DBA skills like installing, troubleshooting, performance tuning, backup and recovery
- Oracle 9i / 10g
- Oracle 9i RAC (must have 9i RAC experience, ideal candidate has 10g RAC experience)
- Quest Shareplex
- Oracle Enterprise Manager / Grid Control
- Oracle RMAN
Other Requirements: Candidate will work with the company’s database technology group (site ops & streaming) on the DBA team assisting with daily database operations. Candidate will support multiple databases in a production environment including DSS and OLTP systems.
Pay: $80-85/hr
Candidates MUST be eligible to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
NOTE: Our client will consider out-of-state candidates; candidates must be willing to pay own relocation costs.
