My client are a leading financial media organisation based in London. They are currently looking for an experience Oracle DBA with excellent knowledge of Oracle (8i to 10g), SAN, clustering technologies, Solaris 8-10 and Windows 2003.
This role is part of the Technical Services team, whose combined purpose is to manage and develop the technical platforms that support the core business services and applications, in a multi-site, international customer-focused environment. This role focuses on ensuring that the company database infrastructure is managed and developed in a structured manner, and works in conjunction with Strategy & Architecture to define relevant roadmaps
Key tasks will include performing analysis, diagnosis and resolution of complex server and application-based problems that relate to databases and support development and implementation of projects and new technology installations.
