Day-to-day production operations of all Oracle databases (monitoring, capacity planning, backup/recovery and DR maintenance) in the business unit
· Day-to-day production operations of all non persistent relational databases(mysql) in the Hotjobs business unit
· 24*7 on call support responsibilities on a rotation basis in the dba team.
· Represent the operations team in architecting new systems or re-architecting existing systems to ensure the new product meets throughput requirements of production.
· Work with Developers and assist them in defining the architecture of the new or changing system.
· Ensure the new product meets operational requirements defined by hotjobs operations team for smooth maintenance of the system.
· Proactively look into improving operations of the existing systems by automation, deployment of new technologies and existing technology upgrades.
· Responsible for all aspects of Data administration
· Responsible for defining and developing decision support systems, and this including providing adhoc data for business users.
· Ability to work in a matrix environment where the person will be independently responsible for suggesting technology decisions to project managers and development managers in the business unit.
· Ability to work in a matrix environment where the person will be independently responsible for all aspects of communications to project managers and development managers.
· Will be responsible for proactively performing capacity planning exercises to come up with hardware needs and software re-architecture needs based on historical performance metrics for all databases.
· Will be responsible for data integrity and data consistency checks in all databases they are responsible, this can be achieved by ensuring that all data entry points are verify during development.
