Major Responsibilities
·Overall administration for multiple Oracle Databases (9i/10g).
·Installation, implementation, upgrading, patching of Oracle Database products suite.
·Customization, maintenance and support under 24x7 operational conditions.
·Work closely with development in planning and promoting product, features, and releases.
·Problem determination & debugging.
·Diagnostic and tuning strategy for OLTP commercial applications.
·Evaluation of new products and/or technologies.
Qualifications
·University degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent.
Know-how and Skills
·Strong core technology skills with hands-on exposure to latest versions (incl. RAC, Data-Guard, etc.)
·Fundamental H/W and OS knowledge required (HP-UX, SUN Solaris, AIX, and Linux).
·Good analytical and trouble-shooting skills.
·Willing to learn new technologies.
·Absolute team player.
·English Proficiency is essential. Ability to converse easily and clearly with colleagues and customers. Courtesy and tack upon exchange of information. Good oral presentation skills.
·Strong inter-personal and organizational skills. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter who can identify issues and work with the appropriate people across multiple organizations to make things happen.
Relevant Job Experience
·senior Oracle DBA (technical field)
·Strong technical skills and experience in Oracle DB administration on UNIX/Linux platforms
·Field experience in supporting critical production HA workloads.
