The Custom Solutions Development Manager will design and develop custom solutions for the Retail and Client Service organizations, leveraging custom technology components for Manufacturers, Retailers and Brokers. The Development Manager will work closely with a team of developers and Client Service groups to define the requirements and scopes of these custom deliverables and then to evaluate strategies and technologies for best accomplishing the objectives. The Development Manager will then work to ensure complete and on-time delivery of each custom point solution.
Qualifications:
•At least 5 years progressive product development experience with technical teams in a development environment.
•Experience working with geographically dispersed teams.
•Ability to anticipate and creatively solve problems
•At least 5 years of experience with design, development and testing of internal and third-party reporting applications.
•Experience working in a non-structured prototype/piloting atmosphere.
•Demonstrated knowledge of decision support solutions and the ability to apply in client’s business context.
•Good working knowledge of Nielsen related data structures and application services.
•Ability to demonstrate recommended best practice solutions and custom solution tools to the business units.
•Ability to interact with Systems and Operations to identify current and future technology platforms and project requirements.
•Develop test cases, carry out fundamental testing and validate results.
