USi's Oracle Apps Systems Architects are responsible for supporting USi Client Executives (CX) and Sales Engineers (SE) in the interaction with clients and prospects to gather presales requirements, assist with technology decisions, and to facilitate the development of a technical solution. These technical solutions are developed using requirements collected from the client/prospect and are mapped to USi capabilities. In situations where client requirements do not map directly to a USi capability, the position is responsible to engage the appropriate engineering teams to validate, design or otherwise develop an acceptable solution. The team provides a conduit between USi Sales Support and Operations prior to client contract signing, as well as during the client delivery.
Pre-Sales Role
o Facilitates the development of client-specific technical designs and is the internal single point of contact for the technical solution
o Responsible for documenting technical components of design and associated assumptions
o Reduce risk by ensuring that client requirements meet USi capabilities, and to build consensus where divergent
o Cost/price model generation for new sales, upgrades, renewals and cross sales
o Evaluate implementation and support costs and budgets
o Develop technical solution table and technical inputs for USi contracts
o Support presales activities by providing a channel for technical inquires into support teams
o Support SEs in answering RFPs
o Respond to requirements as provided by CXs and the Sales team
Delivery Role
o Scope of Work (SOW) creation as hand-off documentation for implementation teams
o Initiate Solution Review meetings (new clients, large upgrades, complex deliveries)
o Participate in delivery kick-off meetings (hand-off to implementation team)
o Coordinate Internal meetings to address design issues throughout the implementation
o Provide requirements for Product Development and other engineering initiatives
o Participate in Delivery Review Board, Technical Oversight Board and Operational Acceptance meetings
Education & Experience: Should have technical hands-on experience installing, configuring and managing Oracle Apps, database and other related components.
