offer a complete End- to-End solution for the design, build and operation of Oracle-based Enterprise systems and the business processes they support.
The role is based in SI - Enterprise Solutions Oracle Applications Management Group. Oracle AM is focused on delivering applications management services for Oracle and PeopleSoft.
The range of customers that the Oracle support team cover are spread across all sectors.
The role is concerned with the provision of Oracle Financials application Functional support and project work covering all Oracle support customers.
The team works with other specialised groups in Atos Origin providing support for Oracle Applications, Oracle Database, call centre etc to provide an integrated service to the customer.
The Functional Support Consultant will be required to take responsibility for and actively participate in the resolution of support calls from both a Functional and Technical perspective.
In addition to undertaking support requests you will be required to participate in pre-sales activities and also undertake project implementation work when the need arises.
Responsibilities:-
Resolution of support calls related to Oracle Financials
Provision of advice and guidance to customers in support of their Oracle Financials implementation
Responsibility for functional and technical resolutions
Liaison with other members of the Oracle AM group and non-Oracle support
Keep the Service Delivery Manager informed of progress and issues in a timely manner.
Transfer of appropriate applications skills and knowledge to other members of the support team.
Required to undertake project development work, therefore development of estimates
Attendance at customer meetings, where necessary
Responsible for technical assurance and quality of ‘fixes’ and Enhancements
Job demands:
Essential:-
Proficients skills in 11i Oracle Financials applications with specific knowledge of GL, AP, AR, CM, FA.
Must have Oracle Functional skills.
Must have PL*SQL capability and Oracle Reports
Knowledge of other eBusiness suite modules e.g. HR, Payroll (desirable)
Skills and Competencies:-
Demonstrate ability to work in a Support environment
Must be able to work in a team as well as work alone
Have strong interpersonal skills
Must have customer-facing.
